As implementation and improvement efforts around the standards increase, opportunities for shared action will also increase. CCSE and its partners are committed to building collaboration among Catholic colleges and universities, field-based experts, funders, and corporations interested in improving Catholic schools to develop, publish, and disseminate resource materials and assessment instruments to support and coach schools and dioceses in the implementation of the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools.
The Catholic School Standards Project web site provides a hub for the Catholic education learning community to exchange ideas, raise problems, generate solutions, share and document results, and create new knowledge. This site will support text, graphics, and video; allow for webinars, and forums; link to collaborating colleges/universities and supporters. It will give “voices from the field” – superintendents, higher education faculty, foundations, congregational sponsors – a vehicle to describe ways that they see the NSBECS serving as both a tool and a template for collaboratively improving Catholic school effectiveness.
